HandymanNear ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Professional Sources Inc. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using our services, you agree to this policy.
Account information: your email and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored securely by our authentication provider and are not visible to us.
Booking information: details of jobs you request or accept, such as the service, price, status, and the emails of the customer and assigned handyman.
Payment information: deposits are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe’s secure checkout and are not collected or stored by us.
Technical information: standard data needed for our services to function, and basic analytics.
To create and manage your account; connect customers with nearby handymen and manage bookings from request to completion; process deposits and provide receipts; communicate about your bookings and account; and keep our services secure. We do not sell your data.
We do not sell your personal information. To complete a job, relevant booking details are shared between the customer and the assigned handyman. We use trusted providers who process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication) and Stripe (payments). We may disclose information if required by law.
We keep your information while your account is active. You may request access, correction, or deletion at any time by emailing info@handymannear.ca.
We use industry-standard measures, including encryption of data in transit. No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.
HandymanNear is intended for users 18 and older and is not directed to children.
If you apply to work as a handyman, we collect the details on your application (such as your name, date of birth, contact details, address, service area, experience, and any licence or insurance information) and any documents you send us, in order to review and verify your application. This information is used only for vetting and managing your status on our platform.
